The ADDY Awards “represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms
of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere
in the world.” The ADDY Awards are highly regarded by individuals in the Advertising industry.
I wanted to create a
digital forgery that called into question the subjectivity of these awards by creating
my own advertising award, the MAGGY Award, Celebrating the Armpit of Creative Advertising. There are plenty
of bad advertisements out there and the MAGGY Awards celebrate the most rediculous and awesome moments of advertising.

As an Advertising student, it was enjoyable poking fun at the industry I hope to one day be
successful in. I recently entered a campaign that I created in one of my advertising classes here on campus
to the Student ADDY Awards. The campaign had me thinking quite a bit lately about the advertising
industry and its unusual habit of awarding itself annually. With lots of hard work, I found that I was awarded
with a Silver ADDY in the Student Division of the Chicago Advertising Federation for a print campaign. My campaign
is shown below.
