Copy edit the text (for a particular instance of writing) backwards:
- Start by copy editing the last sentence (of the closing), and
- Work backwards toward the title—sentence by sentence.
Using the above strategy, writers will probably catch more errors (than if they start at the opening of a text and work toward its closing). |
