Week One: In the Beginning!
1/25/2018
Hello and welcome to the first of many blogs about my experiences with HTML! In this first week of coding things have gone well. It's comlicated, and really the most frustrating part was actually getting onto the server, but so far this has been my favorite class so far. I love that we can be so creative and that it is completely out of my element education wise.

What is coding?
Coding really seems like a lot of copy and paste at this point and in my opinion, but it is almost like it is a form of "advanced copy and paste." It requires making the system happy and opening and closing portals in which the computer system can understand what you are trying to tell it. The hardest part of beginning coding was definitely connecting to the server and figuring out what exactly the "internet" is. Although difficult and confusing, it has been a very fun and exciting journey and I am excited to see what we have in store next for class.
Until Next Week!
Week Two: Idea, Execution, and Success
2/16/2018
Since the last time I wrote a blog I have created and changed so many more aspects of my website. Coding in html as become a lot more than copy and pasting, in fact, it has become almost a scavenger hunt. It is a way for me to take an idea in my head and put it online. In order to be really successful, I need to just do a lot of trial and error. I have all these ideas, and then when I start to want to put it on the site, I realize how impossible it may start to become.

In order to excel in executing my idea and the vision that I want for my website, I often need to look towards to interent and just search all over and take different bits and pieces. In addition, I often find myself doing a lot of trial and error in order to better find success in my endeavors.

Although it can definitely be frustrating at first tryign to even come up with an idea and then try to actually execute it, it is very exciting when I reach success and am able to really put my idea on "paper". Success means that I was able to do something I didin't think I would be able to do. I have reached the "treasure" at the end of my scavenger hunt and it is an extremely good feeling.

I am very excited to see where this adventure will take me next because it has been quite the adventure. It is a mission and a journey to go throughout this process, but it is still one of the most enjoyable assingments that I have had the pleasure to work on!

Until Next Week!
Week Three: The Frustration Countdown
3/1/2018
It is finally March and the smell of spring is in the air. Or maybe that is the stench of green street filling with kids getting ready for unoffical. Either way, we have finally gotten to the half-way point in the semester and spring break is painfully close.
This blog is entitled "The Frustration Countdown" because it seems that no matter the assignment or the level of difficuluty , or the amount of time that we have to complete it; everything seems more and more frustrating. And I definitely DO NOT want to do anything at the moment. The last few assignments that we have had have been extremely fun. However, they have been a little daunting just becasue thye seemed to be very difficult conceptually. I feel that the closer and closer that I get to break, the less creative of a mind that I have. However, working on all of the deviant projects have really showed me how much work and thought actually goes into the different scams that you see on the internet. I have been very lucky and excited throughout this whole process, but I don't think that my creative mind will come back until after exams and break are over.
Until After Break! Let's hope my creativity returns!!
Week Four: Down to the Wire
4/1/2018
As the title suggests, we are really getting down to the wire! Assingments are starting to pile up one by one; and unfortunately I am feeling like all of the things on my website are being pushed to th back burner.
We just finisehed our deviant projects and they were actually a lot of fun to do. It was very interesting to be able to see how people create these differnt deviant acts, and it actually really opened my eyes. It was crazy to think that just to scam people, they go through all of this work. I think that looking at and creatignmy own deviant parts of my website really showed me how creative my brain is; and I found that very fun and enlghtening.
The last part to my website will be my final project and podcast and I am very excited to get working on it. My topic has been a little hard to research, but I think that that isn't necessarily a bad thing and speaks for itself. I am very excited and nervous to see how all of these turn out. I love listenign to podcasts, so i am excited to start recording.
Until Next time, (If the stress doesn't get to me first...)
Week Five: It's the Final Countdown
4/24/2018
We are more than down to the wire at this point; we are in the final stages the semester, and that means FINAL PROJECT time!! If you haven't checked out my final project please do, the link is here or on my homepage.
Working on my final project has ben a lot of fun, I have enjoyed learning more about the band program and really getting into the history of the women within it. Being a women in the band program at this university I think that it is very fun and enriching. I have loved getting to really use everything that I have learned this semester in order to make my ideas come alive within my website and I am very excited about how it will turn out. I hope that you all will enjoy my website, and I hope that you can learn some things about the advocacy within our school. Coding these sites has started to become a big highlight for me, but I have to remember to write more and do less creative things with pictures.
This project has been my least stressful project this semester, and in my whole life; I hope that you enjoy what I have to offer
