connection instructions: To connect to your site, you will first need to be connected to the campus network. If you are using campus internet (IllinoisNet) or are using a campus computer, you will already be connected. If you are connecting outside of campus, you will need to use the Virtual Private Network (VPN). You can find instructions on how to install the VPN here: https://techservices.illinois.edu/services/virtual-private-networking-vpn/download-and-set-up-the-vpn-client If you're connecting from off campus with the VPN, you will get prompted for a login. For the 'username' field you may need to use the format "uofi\netid", like you would if using an FTP client. Once connected to the network or VPN, you can then connect to your site. If you are on a Windows computer, you can use the following path to connect to your site (use the path that ends with your NetID). Open the “File Explorer” on your computer, and paste in the path in the address bar near the top of the window and hit enter. \\atlasweb.ad.uillinois.edu\webpages-prod\courses.atlas.illinois.edu\spring2018\RHET\RHET233\yournetIDhere If you are connecting from a Mac, you can use the paths below. Follow the connection instructions here: https://users.wfu.edu/yipcw/atg/apple/smb/ smb://atlasweb.ad.uillinois.edu/webpages-prod/courses.atlas.illinois.edu/spring2018/RHET/RHET233/yournetIDhere For students using an FTP client like Filezilla, use the following connection information: Server/host: atlasweb.atlas.illinois.edu Remote path: \webpages-prod\courses.atlas.illinois.edu\spring2018\RHET\RHET233 Port: 22 Protocol: SFTP Username: uofi\netid Password: AD password ................. |
