Women's Safety

The issue of women's safety on campus and even off campus has been only somewhat recently a large concern. Some people may take the subject as degrading to women saying they can't hold their own, but when it comes to the real world they do have the disadvantage and it's important to recognize this than to attempt to break such facts. However, the concern with women's safety can only be dated back to recent times (1900's and on) showing us that people have neglected such facts or chose not to recognize them in the first place. Throughout this web page you'll learn the history of women's safety on and off campus as well as how it had changed today. Keep in mind some things you would do different or some different clubs you would create to help solve this large problem.

Women's Resource Center

The Women's Resource Center here at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign deems to be the largest and most important group that deals with the issue of women's safety on campus. However, they touch base on a lot more than just women's safety such as ethical values and much more. For any woman on campus, it is highly recommended you look into the center or go for a visit yourself, they're only here to help.
