Particle Dark Matter: The WIMP Trifecta

• Accelerators: Tevatron and CDF at Fermilab,
  LHC and ATLAS at CERN,
  
• Direct searches: CDMS: detector, fridge and icebox at the Soudan mine
  ZEPLIN-III glamour shots at Boulby mine
  DAMA new detector installation at Gran Sasso: report signal at high confidence!
  CRESST
  
• Indirect (astrophysical) searches
  • cosmic rays: positrons
    PAMELA: excess positron fraction
    ATIC: excess e⁺+e^-
    but Fermi begs to differ
  • gamma-rays
    HESS TeV photons from the Galactic center
    Fermi/GLAST opens a new window on the GeV-TeV sky

Baryogenesis

• the cosmic matter/antimatter asymmetry:
  observational evidence for one of these scenarios

• Sakharov's three ingredients for bayogenesis
