In the real world,
- our actions have tangible consequences, and
- our lack of action has tangible consequences.
Writing is an action, and
- ones writing should create a consequence (desired by the writer).
When ones writing does not create a consequence (desired by the writer),
then that person is either:
- not writing for the real world, or
- not writing effectively.
In other words, ineffective writing does not change much of anything in the real world.
- Ineffective writing cannot successfully engage (and overcome) a Challenge in the real world.
