Adjust the first-line indent (of a paragraph)

Using the "Tab" key to produce a first-line indent is not very efficient.

Produce a first-line indent by formatting the paragraph.
Start with this:

no indent
End up with this:
indent
Return to Outfitter
 


Here's one way:

  1. Highlight the paragraph(s) you want to change
  2. Right click to bring up a list of options, and
  3. Select "Paragraph" to bring up the paragraph dialog box (shown to the right)
  4. Use the "Special" section to select the "First Line"

  5. Adjust the measure of the indent in the "By" section (default = 0.5 inches)
