Use a Hanging Indent (for your end-of-text list of citation sources)

Using the "Tab" key to produce a hanging indent is not very efficient.

Produce a hanging indent by formatting the paragraph.

Start with this:

End up with this:
hanging after

Here's one way:

  1. Highlight the paragraph(s) you want to change
  2. Right click to bring up a list of options, and
  3. Select "Paragraph" to bring up the paragraph dialog box (shown to the right)
  4. Use the "Special" section to select the "Hanging"

  5. Adjust the measure of the indent in the "By" section (default = 0.5 inches)
