Below is an example of reflective writing for "The Dark Wood" assignment.

Please note the following in the example (below):

  1. A first-person perspective. Compared to first-person pronouns (e.g., I, me, my, mine) in the example, there are relatively few second-person pronouns (e.g., he, she, it, you, yours) and third-person pronouns (e.g., they, them, theirs).

  2. How the writer sparingly uses italicized text. In the example (below), the italicized text helps a reader quickly parse the whole (of the information you present) into the three smaller parts required by the assignment.

  3. The writer's effort to make sense of the website's content (as opposed to just paraphrasing that content).

  4. The writer's effort to apply various pieces of the website content in (one or more potential) situations in each of the three contexts (required by the assignment).
