In the Dunes of Discovery, a solitary writer takes stock of his or her situation.


Here, the challenge is for writers to discover the following:

  1. What they realize they know
  2. What they realize they don't know
    • AND
  3. What they didn't realize they knew
  4. What they didn't realize they didn't know

Writing knowledgeably is critical—especially with regard to:

Draft/Sketch a Record of Your Discoveries

Assignment
  1. Familiarize yourself with the content of this webpage and its linked webpages.
  2. Write a 300-500 word reflective essay in which you explore how you might use some of that information in three different contexts:
    • when you are writing,
